You have such a defined sound that's yours alone, and I've grown up hearing your music so thank you very much for all the hard work! That distorted kick at the halfway marker was a real treat. c:

Yoo, this has a crazy cool retro videogame vibe! Honestly, it sounds more like an arcade OST from the 2000s or late 90s maybe! Great work. The lofi vocals really added the perfect touch considering how compressed they always were back in the day. c:

Neato burrito. Pretty good initiative to make a spot to hear some fresh talent from NG.

By the halfwaypoint with the drop and the expressive vibratos on the lead plus the gliss, this was a real winner.

Only constructive critique I can offer is some technical stuff as the kick is pretty sharp and punchy in contrast to the ensemble at 00:31. Maybe a lowpass filter to go along with the filtered bassline in the following break could help it.

Still, it's nitpicky stuff, tbh. Great work!

Cebster responds:

Wow thanks! I’ll totally look into that. Spent hours trying to figure out how to mix this right and I know it’s nowhere near perfect. Thanks for the critique.

Heeeey, now this is some brilliant sci-fi score for a game right here. Could be a good loop or you could definitely grow it into a bigger piece. Love the synthwork here, gives me old Juno Reactor vibes.

Tremulos responds:

Thanks man! I appreciate the comparison lol, good to hear from you!

Damn, your vocals have improved so damn much it's unreal. That vibrato is stellar and you got natural rasp/fry going on too. Pls do Helloween's "Future World" now... No pressure. c:

Bad-Man-Incorporated responds:

OMG. I'm sooo happy to see you around, mang! Thank you for the kind words. I've worked ridiculously hard to improve the vocals. I'm glad it shows!!

Very thick, clean sound. The song itself is by default a solid winner for a heavy metal remake. The one thing I'd point out is that perhaps the drums are a little too synthetic in nature but ofcourse if it's a VST then I know myself how difficult humanizing and mixing drums are.

The freeform solo at the end was a real treat too, btw. c:

All in all, a really solid production, man.

Excellent melodies and the progression is great! Love your effectwork and mixing too. Easy 5. c:

I like it. It's got a very nice mellow mood. However, it seems more english medieval with the harp leading the melody. If you can, get your hands on the EWQL Rare and Ethnic pack for some stellar folk and world virtual instrumentation.

Keep making music. You have a great ear for ensemble production. :3

Frequality responds:

Thanks for your support mate! :)

Very JRPG/Anime OST.

Loving the upbeat snare and adventurous mood here. I think we could do a great orchestral collab. Dueling banjos in concert, perhaps. c:

BlazingDragon responds:

I was very intentional about giving this a JRPG/Anime feel. A big part of that comes from syncopation in the strings and cross-rhythms in the melody.

I'm always up for a good collab, and I have been wanting to break more into the realm of Rock music. Let me know if you ever want to try it out!

Did you know Bela Fleck wrote a Banjo Concerto? o_o
