Ultima Eternus

Posted by Lashmush Jun. 13, 2009 @ 1:53 PM EDT

I just recently finished Ultima Eternus part IV which can be found here on Newgrounds, split into two submissions due to its duration (13m 23s).

However, I've long been annoyed with the quality issues of my longer submissions here to Newgrounds and have released a stream/download alternative at Last.fm. Only at 128 kbps but Part IV is the complete song.

Here is all currently completed parts of Ultima Eternus in maximum MP3 quality.

UE.Part.One.to.Four.2009.MP3.320kbps.C BR-LASHMUSH.zip @ RapidShare

Here are the same songs as Newgrounds submissions (dramatically lower quality):

Part I

Part II

Part III

Part IV - A
Part IV - B

Have a listen and enjoy.

Also, as requested, here is the 2009 remaster of my album "Antidestiny".

VEC Sample Pack 1 and 2

Hmmm, I think that about covers it. Oh yeah, you also need quite a large amount of patience for this sort of music. I started with Ultima Eternus in early 2008 and I've been working with it on and off ever since.

Jun. 13, 2009 | 3:03 PM Lashmush responds:

Nice! If you do so, send me a pm when the flash is done.

Nice, I love the music. I'd want to jam with you, but you live thousands of miles away. =/

Jun. 13, 2009 | 7:48 PM Lashmush responds:

heheh, i'm not much of a live musician anymore. though i would want to get into vocals for a band some day.

The lastfm download version is only 128kbps, while Newgrounds version is 284.

Jun. 13, 2009 | 11:28 PM Lashmush responds:

hmmm, last.fm must fuck around with compressionrates... Sigh, I'll have to upload my shit on Mediafire and supply a link.

Thanks for the heads up. Oh, and btw, the newgrounds version is VBR at 105 - 140 kbps. The VBR most likely screwing with your media player.

heeeey.... are you the actual flash animator that made the /v/ rage flash?

Jun. 13, 2009 | 11:27 PM Lashmush responds:

Sorry, sir. I have never animated a flash in my entire life.

I do know what you're talking about though. And dear me, it was epic...

When you upload the high quality versions of Ultima Eternus somewhere, could you do the same with the Antidestiny Remaster?

Jun. 17, 2009 | 7:57 PM Lashmush responds:

Affirmative.

Damn, I was hoping that Part IV would get top of the week. It deserves it.

But seriously, Part A (I don't know about Part B) has a ton of listens and downloads, and in a really short time. It just got too much zero-bomber attention.

Jun. 17, 2009 | 7:57 PM Lashmush responds:

Meh, shit happens. I'll just have to work that much harder on the grand finale. ;D

I can't wait ;D

Hehe, you have no choice, my young apprentice! ;D

I love your stuff Lashmush. I've checked out alot of it, downloaded that album and Ultima Eternus, and rest assured you got yourself a new fan. Your shit blows my mind. I also read the comments you had about people accusing you of being crazy and I wanted you to know that I firmly believe you are a musical genius. Don't let em get to you man, good luck with your future projects and thanks for bringing your music here.

Jul. 26, 2009 | 1:14 PM Lashmush responds:

Listened to some of yours and I like it. Reminds me of my techno days. I tried doing the kind of stuff you do now, but never really got any good at it.

Thanks for the support, Matt.

Amazing, epicness in it's most pure form.
Btw, why are all the tracks from the Antidestiny album compressed into 2 long tracks in the download you give?, kind of hard to tell sometimes which song is which, was it on purpose?

Aug. 1, 2009 | 1:41 PM Lashmush responds:

the cue files included are for playing back the separate tracks. i recommend using Foobar2000 or the winamp cue file plugin
